Essential Oil: Lavender Essential Oil is known to promote healing and ease inflammation. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antiseptic properties. It can help soothe irritated skin and has the ability to help balance oily or dry hair. It is also soothing for the skin and repels insects.
Additives: Rose Clay. We use clay in all our Dogbars for gentle exfoliation and to help remove toxins from the skin. Clay is also what gives each Dogbar it's unique color.
Babassu Oil: It is rich in antioxidants and fatty acids that make it great for your skin and hair. It’s also anti-inflammatory and antibacterial.
Shea Butter: Very moisturizing and is said to have *some* protective properties against sun. It contains unsaponifiable fats that do not turn into soap and therefore supply great moisturizing properties and creamy lather.
Olive Oil: Moisturizing and conditioning for the skin. It's high in monounsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E making it a very gentle moisturizer that will not block the skins natural functions. It helps promote shiny, silky, and lustrous coats.
Castor Oil: This oil is high in fatty acids and is readily absorbed into the skin. It acts as a humectant to attract and lock moisture to the skin. We use this in our dog shampoo bars to help soothe and moisturize skin and to promote soft, silky fur. It also helps provide a thick, conditioning lather in our soap bars.
Coconut Oil: It is used in a variety of health applications but for dogs, coconut oil can be very soothing. It contains lots of saturated fats and absorbs into the skin easily. We use coconut oil in our soap for its cleansing, lathering, and nourishing properties.
Sustainable Palm Oil: Helps produce a hard bar and fluffy lather.
Sweet almond oil is made from cold pressed dried kernels of the almond tree. It is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and E. In shampoo bars, it helps condition, nourish and soften dog coats while relieving dry and itchy skin.
